March 8, 2010

Dear Parents,

I am working on creating a new snack calendar. I will have it out with the month of April. I should have enough snack for the class for the next couple of weeks, but if you would like to send any extra in it would be great!

Tomorrow is Spring Picture Day! They do not have to wear their uniform but please make sure they are wearing something nice and appropriate. A slip for the pictures is attached to the newsletter.

This week there will be no Spelling or Phonics since it is a short week and the end of the 3rd quarter. Report cards will be sent home this Thursday. Also, Thursday is a half day with no lunch or after school. The students will be able to dress down for free that day.

The Bookman's Reading Challenge is only for another month so please continue to encourage your children to read at home and sign your initials on the form. The class is doing an excellent job filling them out!

Thank you for all your help and support this year. Below is this week's homework schedule. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at school or by email.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Hernandez

Newsletter for February 22, 2010

February 22, 2010

Dear Parents,

Sorry about this week's newsletter. My computer at home is still not working, so hopefully after rodeo break it will be up and running again. I will also be senting home the snack calendar for March next week. Thank you to all for providing snack for February!

This week there will be no spelling or phonics since it is such a short week. Also, Grandparent's Day is this Wednesday! If you plan on having a grandparent at school that day you must have a form filled out and turned in to the front. If you need a form just ask the front desk for one. I also have extra forms in the classroom. There will be lots of fun classroom activities to do with the grandparents as well as some good food!

The Bookman's Reading Challenge is only for another month so please continue to encourage your children to read at home and sign your initials on the form. I am so proud of how many books our class has read so far!

Thank you for all your help and support this year. Below is this week's homework schedule. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact me at school or by email.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Hernandez
